Welcome to the Online Bibliography of the Paul and Scripture Seminar of the Society of Biblical Literature

The Paul and Scripture Seminar was created in 2005 to provide a forum for scholars to examine, debate, and work toward the resolution of a series of questions that have arisen in recent years concerning the way the apostle Paul interpreted and applied the Jewish Scriptures. The seminar will continue through 2010. Abstracts of the papers that have been presented in the seminar can be found on the seminar's main web page. These and other papers are now available in a book published by SBL Publications under the title, As It Is Written: Studying Paul's Use of Scripture.

One of the projects of the seminar is to create a collaborative online bibliography to assist scholars in performing research on Paul's use of Scripture. The bibliography was set up in wiki format so that interested scholars can maintain and update the file over time. Anyone can use the site on a read-only basis, but users who wish to add resources to the bibliography or otherwise contribute to its maintenance (e.g., by adding summaries and keywords to the entries) should send a message to kent@westside.org to request editing privileges. Individual items may also be submitted to this address for entry into the bibliography.
